Tv and the Radio

The television and radio industries have grown substantially in the past few decades. The switch to digital cable in order to free up radio space is another sign that we have moved ahead once again in the world of technology. The televisions we use are bigger, the radios are smaller, and can go farther. We can listen to a radio in our car, or anywhere we are. These two influential inventions have shaped the way we gather information.

They have evolved as media in the past decades because people turn to them to gather their information. The age of the newspaper is coming to a close as the American lifestyle transcends its bounds and becomes faster, and demands more and more information. When people can't be in-front of a television for information or entertainment, they listen to the radio, some people even have portable televisions so they can be plugged in all day. These two mediums have become media because of the demand for information, and the advertisers' push to get their products out there to the masses.
