Paperback or Paperless?

Lately the book industry has been becoming more revolutionized and different. Many more books are being written and published, and they are even becoming more expensive due to the fact of “becoming more green.”

Blockbuster books are the most popular books and are what bring in the majority of money for authors, publishing companies, and retailed sellers. These books are also what keeps the competition alive, as mentioned by Elizabeth.

E-books and devices such as Amazon’s Kindle and Apple’s newly released iPad are becoming extremely popular, due to the fact that they are cheaper and always available quickly and on demand.

Though this is the case, more old-fashioned people prefer to be able to hold an actual paperback book in their hands, as opposed to reading a computer screen for hours.

The younger generations, however, are latching onto these ideas very well and they could be one of the main ways to help the world go “greener”.

These alternatives to books might also encourage more kids to learn, seeing as it is through electronics which are what younger generations know best.
