Radio and Television

From Guglielmo Marconi's first radio transmission all the way to satellite radio, sound waves traveling through the air have changed the course of humanity forever. Communication is essential to human life. From handprints on cave-walls and ancient egyptian hieroglyphs to the invention of the telephone, humans have been striving to find better more efficient ways to communicate from the beginning. During the last half of the twentieth century music, news, and talk radio allowed peopled to connect with one another through common interests that grew with inventions like XM radio until the creation of radios downfall: the iPod.

The Decline of radio is also due in part to the seemingly unlimited amount of applications we have for our televisions. You can even listen to the radio on tv. Its where the news is, the weather, sports, and hundreds of other channels with whatever peaks your interest. You can rewind and record live television. Families usually have televisions in the living room which just happens to be the room that gets the most use, and some families have tv's in their bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms! But is seems that even with all it has to offer television is also susceptible to becoming obsolete. The Internet has exploded into the twenty-first century and more new revolutionary technology is inevitable.
