ebooks the new netflix?

Blockbuster books are necessary. Although it’s a bit upsetting that society will only be interested in a book if they have seen it or have the option to see it in movie form at least it gets us reading.

e-books are going to take over. It may not be a quick transition but it’s going to happen. People love to save money, especially students. If textbooks are going to be offered for extremely discounted prices people will make the switch.

There are often times when you buy a textbook because it’s “required” and you can go a whole semester with out opening it. If you only paid a small charge to get the text on e-book this sting will not be as strong.

I don’t think books will go completely go extinct. You can’t bring a kindle to the beach and you don’t want what you’re reading to run on batteries all the time. That just adds one more charger to pack every time you go somewhere.

I do think that it will have the impact that Netflix had on video rental stores. Bookstores business will decline.
