Changes in the Media

Radio and television have both changed drastically since they have been invented.

The radio originally only had a few stations and now there are thousands of stations. Also there is not just am and fm radios there are radios without commercials at all like satellite radios that people pay for.

Television has also changed a lot over the years as with radios televisions only had a few stations but again there are now thousands of stations.

These changes have gone along with the changes in the media and have become the essential equipment for media because radio and television can be broadcasted all over the world to a mass audience.

People can also pay for certain services in which there are no commercials and can pick what they choose to watch.

As example the media tries to give people what they want so a media company can set up a program such as HBO where the subscriber does not have to view commercials.

But this does not bring down profit because instead of other companies paying for advertisements the subscriber is paying to not see the advertisements so the company still makes money. Same rules apply with different types of radio services.

The media must change to satisfy the people so the media services such as radio and television must change as well.
