Evolvement in Media

We all know that over time television has significantly changed from the first black and white televisions that our parents had. But in recent years, television has also evolved greatly.

Television has changed from antennas and satellites just a few years ago to cable boxes, blueray players, and HD channels. Instead of just having 100 channels now, many servers also have high definition channels on which one can watch the same program that is on one channel but in much better quality.

TV has also undergone demassification. Most channels target a certain group of people. Examples would be Disney and Nick target young children, HGTV targets people interested in designing and landscape, and MTV targets teenagers interested in music, celebrities, and entertaining shows casting teenagers.

Radio has also emerged and undergone demassification as well. Certain stations play to the same type of people and play the same songs. You can also listen to music without commercial interruption now. More stations have also evolved. Entertainment has gone through many changes throughout the past couple of years.
