Magazines

Advertisements are taking over the pages of the magazines we read today. No matter if it is a knitting magazine, real estate magazine, or political magazine, they are everywhere. Unlike some other types of media most magazines in themselves are targeted to a certain type of audience. For example, those interested in US politics might read a magazine like TIME. In that same regard, a teenage girl might read Teen Cosmo or Seventeen. Therefore the ads that are covering the pages are different from magazine to magazine. But have the advertisements taken away from the magazines? In the latest edition of TIME magazine there were three times more pages containing advertisements than there were containing articles. Advertisements are taking over magazines and really taking away the information that the readers deserve to read about, and what readers pay for.
