Technology is all around us

Technology is something our generation depends on, and without it we wouldn’t know what to do. Many

college students, including myself never spend any time during the day away from media. Even if we are

lying in bed relaxing, our cell phone is constantly going off from text messages from our friends, with

facebook and email minimized on our computer, with maybe even the TV on. However, when it comes to

technology and our education it is extremely helpful. Technology can help us complete research, write

and edit papers, and even create presentations. Technology also is very useful for adults in the

workplace.After watching the PBS program, "Digital Nation", I was shocked to see the severity of their

technology dependency in Korea. I cannot believe at such a young age, children are on the computers as

much as they are. If computers were used less in Korea, they would have more of a positive impact on

the children than negative. Technology is such a useful tool, and if used in small amounts can have more

positive affects on our generation as well as others.
