Since the introduction of television and radio, there has been advertising. Advertising is extremely relevant to television and radio in todays society. It is not often that i can turn on the television and not see an advertisment for some new product or service that a business wants to sell. Same with the radio. A lot of radio stations claim to be "commercial free", but in reality their stations economic health depends on it. The introduction of HD, or High Defenition, quality in TV and Radio is also an innovative evolution in mass media
With HD, viewers are able to see their TV and listen to their radios more clearly. With HD, their are more channels at higher quality picture, and it seems that people are loving it. It gives viewers an experience that they are in the TV, or the person on the radio is right next to them talking. Innovations such as this are vital to the spread of mass media. Bringing higher quality information to the world attracts more viewer, which yields more informed people.
