Music and downloading

Music has changed dramatically over the past decade. From cassettes to ipod touch. We have went from buying cd's to just illegally downloading and burning our own for a fraction of the price. Downloading music allows you to be your own dj. You only have to put what you want on your playlists. Technology has also been made to help you be your own dj. With programs like Genius on iTunes while recommends songs that you would like based off of the song you are listening to at that time.

Music is infused in every aspect of our lives. Even if you don't notice it all the time it has a large impact on that way you take in information. For example an ad with a catchy tune like free credit report.com sticks in your head and you remember it. But it's a two way street there have been many times where I watch an ad and hear a song I like and google the lyrics and download it.

Although the easy access to music has hurt the income of the music industry, music itself is thriving. There is more exposure to underground bands. Things like myspace allow people to sample a bands music and see their tour dates, post it on their page so that other people can hear them also.
