Radio

Is radio a dying breed? Look at the history of the radio. When it first came out it was incredibly popular and was used by many families as a sort of bonding time. You would see entire families sitting around the radio and listening to their favorite programs. Radio was also a great way to get local and current information quickly. How has the impact of radio changed? Well, we do not rely on the radio for most of our entertainment anymore. Since the development of the television many Americans have stopped using the radio for entertainment. Why only listen to a program if you can see it. Radio went on to transform into a place people turned to listen to their favorite music. But with new technology such as ipods and subscriptions to download all the songs you want radio is becoming obs elite. The only thing that is keeping the radio alive are morning shows, and "in the car" radio listens. Will those listeners turn to new technology? How long will it take? Will radio survive if and when they do? Probably not.
