How have blogs and the internet changed the way news is reported?
Blogs haven't done anything at all to change the way news is reported.
But internet has had a big help in changing the way the news is reported.
Internet gives new channels and paper chains a chance to make a website and post all their news and articles there in addition to what is on tv or in the paper.
Most times I feel with watching news on tv, the people broadcasting the new run out of time to often to continue or finnish the story.
With internet news sights people who want to hear more about it can go to that sight and watch more videos or read an article on the story.
I feel that internet has helped the news industry.
In the sense that people who only want to hear about one thing or another can do just that with the internet.
Without internet additions I feel that the news would get to long and people would stop watching before they got to see something really important.
With the internet additions it shortens the time that the news is on for.
This also causes a problem for the people on the news.
If they aren't making big stories they might not be on the internet with videos of the story they might just have an article.
The bigger people in the business might have videos online so internet might not be a problem for them.
But with the smaller people they might feel that they aren't getting enough "face time" or air time and might get angry about this.
They will never get rid of new channels for internet news ever because most people watch tv alot and like to watch the news on tv.
Alot of older people only have a tv to watch news and sports as it is.
I feel alot of those older people also dont have computers to be able to watch news and sports on the internet.
Over all meaning that news will never switch over to the internet.
At least not while im still alive.
