What started as a system to connect millions of people worldwide has evolved into one of the worst inventions as it pertains to the music industry. There once was a time when people would save up their money for a CD, go to a music store, and buy it. But with the introduction of the internet, people 2 people sharing now lets internet users to share music files with others. As one can imagine, the recording/music industry has suffered greatly because of the introduction of online file sharing. They are now franticly trying to sell records in order to recover from losses they have taken from file sharing. This frantic production and attempted innovation in records has lead to the suffering in quality of the music itself. Music artists are not releasing the same music as they used to: the content of it is no longer meaningful (for the most part). Its sad to see such an amazing and powerful form of media go down the drain because of file sharing and piracy. Although sales have suffered, i feel that the content should remain the same, if not better. Music industry CEO's should keep their eye on quality so that people are more motivated to go out and buy the CD instead of just stay home and pirate it offline.
